Our Story
A Retreat Rooted in the Heart of Himachal
Nestled in the serene hills of Mashobra, Shimla, Koti Resorts blends old-world charm with modern comfort — a family legacy built on warmth, nature, and genuine hospitality.

History
Koti was built in the early nineties, by a family whose roots are in Shimla, and who envisioned the place as a retreat that was a vestige of the old world charm and hospitality of the Shimla of yore. Koti Resorts is an ode to the childhood summers spent in Himachal on family holidays.
The estate is outlined like a Swiss Chalet, to capture vistas of the sights and surroundings. The Koti Resorts family has been part of the community of Mashobra for the last three decades and has built a strong team made of locals and residents. We take pride in our role as custodians of the culture, community, and environment of Himachal.

Amenities
Designed to provide comfortable and private indoor and outdoor spaces for all of our guests. We have a selection of attractively planned rooms spread across the property. Our five cottage wings flank the central lawn, with rooms on each block offering breathtaking views of the snow-capped Himachal hillside.
Our staff lives locally and are well acquainted with the region, so please feel free to connect with our team for insights on the local flora and fauna, or to ask after hidden gems, nooks, and treasures of Mashobra and Shimla town.

Restaurant
Witness breathtaking views from the open seating to make the most of the mountain breeze and the memorable sights on either side. We have majestic views of the Shali peak on the east and tranquil views stretching down to Naldehra on the west.
For breakfast, enjoy our buffet spread on the sun deck. While the resort serves Indian, Chinese and Continental cuisine, you can also ask for a spread of local cuisine on special request.

Bar
Put your feet up and relax in our saloon and savour the enviable views of the encircling forested hills from your seat next to the fireplace. Our bar has a collection of liquors, spirits and bitters from around the world.
You can request a refreshment of choice and sit back for a blissful evening. We always have a crackling fire lit up in the winter, making this a wonderful place to end the day.

Lawns
Koti Resort's two beautiful lawns are the perfect vantage points from where to watch the setting sun while enjoying snacks with a delicious cup of tea. There are plenty of deck chairs out in the garden for you to spend languid evenings.
Our resident gardener takes pride in making sure the flora at Koti is blooming throughout the year. You will always find fresh flowers placed in all our rooms across the property.
